High pressure.

High pressure starts to build from the southwest, bringing largely dry conditions across the British Isles. It will remain rather cloudy at times, although southern England is likely to see the best of the sunshine. Scotland stays cloudier, with some rain affecting the north and west, while Ireland remains mostly dry under extensive cloud cover. Highs of 18C in the southeast, but nearer 14C in the northwest.

A largely dry evening and night for most. Northwest Scotland may see some patchy drizzle, while Ireland remains rather cloudy. England and Wales will enjoy lengthy clear spells. Temperatures falling to 12C in the south and 9C in the north.
